An all rounder from Pune, Maharashtra, Ms. Kalyani Dhokarikar was one of the most experienced cricketers in Indian women’s cricket.
Her professional career spanned from 1995 to 2000, during which she represented India in both Test and One Day Internationals. One of Kalyani’s proudest moments came in 1995 when she was part of the Champion Indian Women’s Cricket team that lifted the Centenary Cup (in a Tri series ) in New Zealand in the year 1995. It was a historic victory.
She played a major role in the Indian team which won a series against England in England.
Her dedication and talent were recognized on several occasions as she was awarded the title of the best all-rounder in domestic cricket on several occasions .
Kalyani is the recipient of the prestigious Shiv Chhatrapati award, a symbol of recognition for her contributions to the game.
